CLYDE RAYMOND “RANDY” BEAM, JR., age 66 of Jemison, passed away suddenly on May 11, 2022 at St. Vincent Chilton Hospital in Clanton, AL. He was born in Birmingham, AL on February 25, 1956; the son of Clyde Raymond Beam, Sr. and the late Donna Noette Saunders Beam.
Randy was a 1974 graduate of Jemison High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Montevallo. He would do anything for anybody and that was evident in his work as store manager at the Piggly Wiggly in Jemison. He enjoyed playing golf and playing his bass guitar, especially playing praise and worship at his beloved church, Jemison First Baptist. He lived his life for his family. Randy is more alive today than he has ever been, safe in the arms of Jesus.
He is survived by: Wife, Patti H. Beam of Jemison; Son, Cameron (Rachel) Beam of Jemison; Son, Ryan (Jill) Beam of Northport; Grandchildren: AdaLee Beam, Grayson Beam, Jacob Beam, and Charlie Beam; Father, Clyde R. Beam, Sr. of Jemison; Sister, Jalon Lucas of Montevallo; Sister, Donielle (Dewayne) Cleckley of Clanton; Sister, Tonya (Allen) Peel of Maylene; and Mother-in-Law, LaMerle Hamm of Jemison.
He is preceded in death by: Grandson, Inf. Gavin Beam; Mother, Noette Beam; and Father-in-Law, Leo Hamm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2:00pm from the Jemison First Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Bass officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:30am until service time at the church.
Burial will follow in the Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison, AL.
The family request no flowers, but encourage a memorial donation in Randy’s memory be made to either of the following: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Autism Society of Alabama, or The Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.
