Colyn Ray Headley

COLYN RAY HEADLEY, age 77 of Clanton, passed away on July 11, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He was born in Chilton County on January 18, 1944; the son of the late Realious S. Headley and the late Beatrice Henley Headley.

He was a former construction contractor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his church, Pleasant Grove Methodist Protestant Church, and was devoted in his faith and service to Christ.

He is survived by: Wife, Sharon Headley of Clanton; Daughter, Kimberly (Bill) Carroll of Clanton; Son, Jimmy Rhodes of Clanton; Son, Michael Headley of Alabaster; Son, Shawn (Christy) Headley of Montgomery, AL; 8 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Glenda Taylor; Brother, Hoyt Headley; and Sister, Myra Nell Wright.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, infant sister, and Brother, Hudson Headley.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Martha Headley officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
