Dan "Ronnie" Jones

DAN R. “RONNIE” JONES, age 76 of Jemison, passed away on April 1, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Bessemer, AL on April 9, 1943; the son of the late Donnie Jefferson Jones and the late Meda Katherine Jones.

He was a former electrician with US Pipe. He was a faithful member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Jemison.

He is survived by: Wife, Sandra Jones of Jemison; Son, Jeff (Heather) Jones of Leeds; Daughter, Terra (Jason) Stamps of Homewood, IL; and Grandsons: Tucker Jones of Leeds, Nash Jones of Leeds, Caleb Stamps of Homewood, IL, and Michael Stamps of Homewood, IL.

A graveside service for immediate family only will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Rocky Mt. Community Cemetery in Jemison, AL with Rev. David Hand officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the graveside service will be livestreamed on the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Facebook page for extended family and friends.

A public memorial service will be held once the pandemic has passed.

The family request no flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Oak Grove Baptist Church 211 AL Hwy 155 Jemison, AL 35085.
