David Harold Ellison

DAVID HAROLD ELLISON, age 58 of Jemison, passed away suddenly on November 23, 2025, at UAB–St. Vincent’s Chilton Hospital in Clanton, AL. He was born in Shelby County on April 4, 1967, the son of Chester Ellison and the late Linda Kay Lovelady Ellison.

David worked as a construction supervisor and was dedicated to his craft. He was an avid Alabama fan and loved nothing more than enjoying his time outdoors. Days spent on the lake were among his happiest, especially casting a line on Lay Lake and Logan Martin Lake along the Coosa River. He also cherished time spent at the beach, where he found peace and relaxation.

Above all, David will be remembered for the deep love he held for his family. His presence, his laughter, and the devotion he showed to those he loved will be forever missed.

He is survived by his wife, Leisa Michelle Ellison of Jemison; his daughters, Kendyl Brooke Ellison of Alabaster and Natalie Faye Ellison of Alabaster; his stepsons, Brandon Michael Bell of Marietta, GA and Christopher Noah Bell of Powder Springs, GA; and his father, Chester Ellison.

A visitation only will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. in the Community Room of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton, AL.
