DAVID LORAIN ROBINSON, age 73 of Thorsby, passed away on November 1, 2020 at St. Vincent Chilton Hospital following a battle with COVID-19. He was born in St. Clair County, AL on July 20, 1947; the son of the late Millard F. Robinson and the late Leetha Mae Murray Robinson.
He was a videographer. David worked all over the country for the Church of God. David’s life was best described by Terry Hart, State of Alabama Overseer of the Church of God, “ I am heartbroken over the loss of my dear friend David Robinson. He was invaluable to the Church of God in Alabama and was a friend to so many. His wonderful attitude and his commitment to excellence in all of our video projects and state meetings make him virtually irreplaceable.”
David is survived by: Wife, Patsy Robinson; Son, Kerry (Jenny) Robinson; Daughter, Kelly (Josh) Woods; Grandsons, Alexander Robinson and Nicholas Woods; Granddaughters, Allianna Robinson and Samantha Mason; Brother, Jr (Ronda) Robinson; Sister-in-Law, Peggy (Donnie) Blackmon; Nephews: Brandon (Brittany) Blackmon, Joseph (Stacie) Robinson, Jonathan (Natalie) Robinson, and Josh (Christina) Olson; Great-Nieces: Emery, Rylee, Maddie, Baylee, and Cheyenne; and Great-Nephews, Andrew and John.
He is preceded in death by: Father, Millard F. Robinson; Mother, Leetha Mae Robinson; Twin-Brother, Daniel Robinson; and Nephew, Jason Robinson.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family has elected to hold a private family graveside service on Thursday, November 5, 2020 in the Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby, AL. Rev. Billy Boatwright will officiate the service.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in David’s memory to the Building Fund of the Clanton Church of God.
