Debra Jean (Higgins) Collins

DEBRA JEAN (HIGGINS) COLLINS, age 60 of Thorsby, passed away on May 7, 2021 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on July 30, 1960; the daughter of the late James Vernon Higgins and the late Thelma Ree Mims Higgins.

She was a former library assistant with the University of Montevallo.

She is survived by: Husband, Bobby Collins of Thorsby; Son, Heath (Toni) Collins of Palm City, FL; Son, Adam (Mandie) Collins of Montevallo; Grandchildren: Luke Collins, Kyleah Collins, Logan Collins, Bentley Collins, and Kaysen Collins; and Brother, Jimmy (Tonya) Higgins of Panama City, FL.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, James and Thelma Higgins.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Donald Jones and Rev. Jeff Carroll officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, AL.
