Devon Kassidy Blair Rhodes

It is with profound sorrow that we come to announce the passing of DEVON KASSIDY BLAIR RHODES, who left us suddenly on November 13, 2025 at the tender age of 25. A loving and fiercely devoted single mother to her two young children, Kimberlynn and Abel; Devon’s vibrant spirit and unending love and devotion will be deeply and forever missed by her family, friends, and all those blessed enough to have known her.

Devon was born on March 21, 2000 and came into this world as a perfect gift of love straight from God’s own grace. She grew from a precious child with an artistic soul and free spirit into a beautiful young woman with an undying devotion and love for her family, especially her two precious babies, her brother, and her sister. She carried that same beautiful free spirit well into adulthood, finding joy in the simplest things like her love for old music, animals, and has ever been the epitome of a “flower child” even though she came long after that decade had passed. Although God saw fit to call her home long before any of us were ready, we know that Heaven is now even more beautiful because she is there.

Devon is survived by: Her two precious children, Kimberlynn and Abel Lane; Loving Parents, Ellis and Amanda Rhodes of Clanton; Siblings, Kaleb (Olivia) Kilgore of Jemison and Victoria (Heath Jones) Rhodes of Clanton; Grandmothers: Yvonne Scott Jones of Thorsby, Glenda Beam Jones of Randolph, and Francine Bearden Rhodes of Clanton; Great Grandmother, Pernie Dawson Jones of Randolph; Aunts and Uncles: Todd (Kacy) Price of Thorsby, Clay (Brooke) Jones of Maplesville, Gary Rhodes of Clanton, and Diane Rhodes of Clanton; and a host of great uncles, aunts, cousins, and faithful fur baby “Stella Ann Murphy”; and Special Aunt and Uncle, Donnie and Tina Fondren of Dittmer, MO.

She is preceded in death by: Grandfather, Charles Roland Jones; Grandfather, Hugh Ellis Rhodes, Sr.; Uncle, Clinton Chancse Jones; and Great Grandparents, Jim and Ellen Ruth Scott and Charles E. Jones.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 6-8pm at Refuge Baptist Church in Clanton, AL.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00am from Refuge Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Scott and Rev. Barney Mims officiating.

Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery in Jemison, AL.
