Donald Leon Wallace

DONALD LEON WALLACE, age 66 of Jemison, passed away on September 22, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Atlanta, GA on December 21, 1953; the son of the late James Edward Wallace and the late Ida Mae Williams Wallace.

He was a former supervisor with Valley Mills. He loved the outdoors while spending time fishing and also searching for old coins and treasure with his metal detector. He also loved to go bowling and make music by playing his guitar.

He is survived by: Wife, Martha Ann Wallace of Jemison; Son, Danny Leon Wallace of Jemison; Daughter, Tina Ann Wallace Avery of Thorsby; Grandson, Cameron Lee Hubbard; Step-Grandson, Jordan Daniel Avery of Montevallo; Grandson, Matthew Leon Wallace of Jemison; Grandson, Jayden Lane Avery of Thorsby; Granddaughter, Hannah Grace Avery of Thorsby; Step-Great Granddaughter, Isabella Grace Avery of Montevallo; Step-Great Grandson, Carter Daniel Avery of Montevallo; Brother, James Edward Wallace of Slapout; Sister, Katherine Lynn Abbott of Maplesville; Twin Brother, Ronald Lee Wallace of Pletcher; Brother, Victory Cornell Wallace of Clanton; and Brother, David Harold Wallace of Jemison.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, James Edward and Ida Mae Wallace; Sister, Voncille Wallace; Brother, Eddie Lee Wallace; Brother, Floyd Dale Wallace; and Brother, Johnny Horton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Jeff Mims officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby, AL.
