Donna Marie (Posey) Milloit

DONNA MARIE (POSEY) MILLOIT, age 75 of Jemison, passed away on February 11, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Alabaster, AL on February 23, 1949; the daughter of the late Paul Posey and the late Juanita Johnson Posey.

She was a former marketing coordinator for UAB Special Studies, taught for the JTPA program for women returning to work at UAB and a former librarian at Vestavia Hills Library. She had undergraduate degrees from the University of Alabama and Montevallo University with a master’s degree in library science from UAB.

She is survived by: Former Spouse, Fred Milloit of Jemison; Daughter, Katie Cochran of Alabaster; Son, Adam Cochran of San Diego, CA; Grandson, Dylan McNutt of Huntsville; Granddaughter, Taylor Lucas of Gardendale; Four Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Carolyn Posey of Louisville, KY; Nephew, Andy Garrett of Jemison; and Niece, Angel Harris of Columbiana.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Paul and Juanita Posey; and her Sister, Harriet Beam.

Funeral Services will be he held 11:00AM Friday, February 21, 2025 at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Green officiating. 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00PM Friday, February 21, 2025 at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
