DONNIE JOE MIMS, age 71 of Calera, passed away on March 5, 2021 at Columbiana Health and Rehabilitation in Columbiana, AL. He was born in Shelby County on November 21, 1949; the son of the late Jim Mims and the late Marie Ogelsby Mims.
He was a former janitor with National Standard in Columbiana, AL.
He is survived by: Sister, Wanda Green of Calera; Sister, Barbara Lockhart of Clanton; Niece, Felicia Green of Calera; Nephew, Adam Hoggle of Calera; Nephew, Kehity Lockhart of Clanton; and Great-Niece, Alexis Harris of Calera.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Jim and Marie Mims; Brother, James Mims; and Sister, Carolyn Hoggle.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Rock Springs Baptist Cemetery in Calera, AL with Rev. Tommy Williams officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
