Donny Ray Humphrey

Donny Ray Humphrey, age 74, of Center Point, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on July 3, 2026.

Donny was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on April 7, 1952, to the late Leroy Humphrey and the late Martha Pepper Humphrey. He was formerly employed at a fire extinguisher manufacturing plant, where he dedicated many years of hard work.

Donny found his greatest happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He took tremendous pride in caring for his yard, meticulously tending to his flower beds and cultivating a beautiful garden. Working outdoors brought him both peace and fulfillment, and those who knew him understood the joy he found in watching his hard work bloom. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, DeDe, whose faithful companionship brought him comfort and happiness through the years.

He is survived by his brother, Keith Humphrey of Shelby; his sisters, Glenda (Marlen) Burnette of Jemison and Mona Piper of Woodstock; his brother, Leroy (Crystal) Humphrey of West Blocton; his nieces and nephews, Keith Allen Humphrey, Rhonda Humphrey, Wesley Humphrey, Jennifer Humphrey, Jessica Humphrey, Nick Piper, and Vicky Lynn Cash; along with other extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Martha Humphrey; his brother, Alfred Humphrey; and his sister, Melody Cardwell.

An inurnment service will be held at a later date at Forrest Grove Cemetery in Hueytown, Alabama.
