Doreen Madeline Russell

DOREEN MADELINE RUSSELL, age 65 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Jamaica, NY on February 13, 1958; the daughter of the late Grover Russell, Jr. and the late Joan Lorraine Schultheis Russell.

She was a former cook. She loved working with her horses and spending time with them on the racetrack.

She is survived by: Son, Joseph Russell of Calera; Grandchildren: Arya Russell, Katlyn Russell, Emily Russell, Matthew Russell, and Alister Reiter; Sister, Donna Stevens of Clanton; Sister, Julie Piper of Ocala, FL; Brother, William Mantz of Castleberry, FL; Former Spouse, Marty Land of Calera; and Niece, Jessica Stevens of Clanton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 12:00 Noon from New Life Church in Clanton, AL with Rev. Andy Mims officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
