Doyle Vester Robinson

DOYLE VESTER ROBINSON, age 84 of Clanton, passed away on April 1, 2023 at Shelby Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Alabaster, AL. He was born in Chilton County on December 23, 1938; the son of the late Vester “Bec” Robinson and the late Lucille Blow Robinson.

He was a former automotive mechanic. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors where he spent his time hunting and fishing.

He is survived by: Son, Mike (Tammy) Robinson of Clanton; Son, Alan (Eva) Robinson of Clanton; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Mavis Moates of Verbena; Sister, Mary Carden of Verbena; Sister, Dorothy Kelley of Verbena; Sister, Gloria Nell Halko of Alexander City; and Brother, Billy Robinson of Jemison.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Delene Robinson; Daughter, Barbara Thompson; Parents, Bec and Lucille Robinson; Sisters: Shirley Smitherman, JoAnn Lawrence, and Faye Nell Mims; and Brothers: Jerry Robinson, Johnny Robinson, and Gene Robinson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Scott officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
