EARLENE ARTHUR ALLEN, age 90 of Verbena, passed away on January 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Russell County, AL on January 23, 1931; the daughter of the late Frank D. Arthur and the late Annie Cleckler Arthur.
She was a former fiberoptics installer with Wayne Industries in Clanton. She lived her life in service to others, taking care of all God’s children, especially her own and those she chose to call her own. She always had a smile on her face and joy in her heart. Earlene loved the Lord and her church. Today she is rejoicing with her loved ones who have gone before her in Heaven where there is no more pain.
She is survived by: Daughter, Joyce Baker of Verbena; Daughter, Kathy (Johnny) Driver of Verbena; Daughter, Judy (Forrest) Ingram of Millbrook; Daughter, Martha Seale of Clanton; 11 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild; Bonus Daughters: Pat (Don) Bills of Birmingham, Carol (Dan) Hardeman of Blountsville, and Carla (Thomas) Lee of Tampa, FL; 4 Bonus Grandchildren; 1 Bonus Great Grandchild; 4 Special Grandchildren; Brother, Frank (Mary) Arthur of Clanton; Brother, Delbert (Jenny) Arthur of Hope Hull; Sister, Louise Kelley of Verbena; Sister, Grace (JW) Veazey of Montgomery; Sister, Ruthie (Don) Davis of Valley; Sister-in-Law, Linda Arthur of Montgomery; Special Friend, Eugene Morgan of Marbury; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: Husband, James Harlum Moates; Husband, Carl Allen; Granddaughter, Renee Driver; Great Grandchild, Clowey Coggins; Parents, Frank and Annie Arthur; Twin Brother, Earl Edward Arthur; Brother, Johnnie Arthur; Brother, Leroy Arthur; and Sister, Nettie Mae Minor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 5-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Verbena Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Christensen, Rev. Wendell Kelley, and Rev. Teddy Chadwick officiating.
The body will be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in the Verbena Cemetery in Verbena, AL.
