EMILY JEAN (McDONALD) EVANS, age 68 of Jemison, passed away on July 19, 2020 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was born in Shelby County on January 30, 1952; the daughter of the late Emory McDonald and the late Birdie Hughes McDonald.
Her life’s passion was loving and caring for her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by: Husband, Rickey G. Evans, Sr. of Jemison; Daughter, Sandy (Jimmy) Lucas of Jemison; Daughter, Melissa (Ricky) Brasher of Jemison; Son, Rickey (Becky) Evans, Jr. of Jemison; 9 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; 3 Brothers; 6 Sisters; and Special Mother, Lucille Browning of Calera.
She is preceded in death by: Son, Ronnie Evans; Son, Kevin Evans; Parents, Emory and Birdie McDonald; Brother, Gary McDonald; and Sister, Debbie Ray.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 2:00pm from the Shelby Memory Gardens Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Calera with Rev. Don Vanderslice officiating
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, AL.
