Ernest "Ernie" Peters, Jr.

ERNEST “ERNIE” PETERS, JR., age 79 of Jemison, passed away on September 17, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on June 19, 1944; the son of the late Ernest “Dick” Peters, Sr. and the late Harriet Ruby Bean Peters.

He was the owner and operator of Ernie’s Landscape Supply in the Mineral Springs community.

He is survived by: Wife, Jean Peters of Jemison; Son, Dallas Peters of Jemison; Son, Michael (Barbara) Fontainell of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; Daughter, Michelle (David) Mihalik of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Grandchildren: Michael Fontainell, Austin Peters, and Ben Peters; Sister, Marie Reuland of Hoover; Sister, Elaine Monroe of Hoover; and Sister, Doris Coker of Vestavia.

At Ernie’s request, no services are planned.

The family request no flowers, please make a donation towards Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia research or to the Chilton County Humane Society.
