Essie Elaine (Hayes) Anderson

ESSIE ELAINE (HAYES) ANDERSON, age 71 of Maplesville, passed away on November 19, 2021 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on March 27, 1950; the daughter of the late Albert Hayes and the late Julia Noah Hayes.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by: Daughter, Michelle (Mitchell) Frith of Maplesville; Daughter, Rita (Rodney) Grems of Robertsdale; Daughter, Cindy Anderson of Maplesville; Son, Darren (Kayla) Anderson of Maplesville; Son, Harold Lawrence of Selma; 7 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends at Hatley Healthcare.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Mackey Anderson; Grandson, Mac Mac Lawrence; Grandson, Matthew Prebula; Parents, Albert and Julia Hayes; and Siblings: Lucille Burns, Polly Arant, Ann Cummings, Hoover Hayes, Vernon Hayes, Lynwood Hayes, Chester Hayes, Dean Roper, and Meldie Gilliland.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with Rev. William Earl Short officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Cemetery in Plantersville, AL.
