Evelyn (Collins) Jackson

EVELYN (COLLINS) JACKSON, age 99 of Clanton, passed away on December 11, 2023 at Hatley Healthcare in Clanton, AL. She was born in Chilton County on May 20, 1924; the daughter of the late Walter Scott Collins and the late Fannie Childress Collins.

She was a former waitress.

She is survived by: Son, Ricky Joe (Donna) Ward of Thorsby; Son, Jerry Mason (Debbie) Ward of Clanton; Daughter, Judy Ann Bain of Clanton; 6 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Joseph Jackson; Son, Sidney Ward; Parents, Walter S. and Fannie C. Collins; Brothers: Vollie Collins, Buck Collins, and Kermit Collins; and Sisters, Era Collins Patterson and Verma Collins Gore.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Thorsby, AL with Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating.

There will be no visitation. Everyone please meet at the cemetery.
