Mrs. Faye Deanna (Braund) Ottman, age 85, of Clanton, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her residence on February 3, 2026.
Faye was born in Wisconsin on October 20, 1941, to the late Kenneth Braund and Leona Jefferies Braund. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose gentle spirit and creative heart touched everyone who knew her.
Faye worked faithfully at Walmart for 20 years, where she formed many lasting friendships and was known for her kindness and warm smile. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved to crochet, treasured her painting collection, and was an avid collector of horse carousels — a hobby that reflected her playful spirit and appreciation for beauty and nostalgia.
She is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Michelle (Antonio) Rodriguez of Rancho Cordova, CA; granddaughters, Amanda (Vidal) Romero and Maria, both of Rancho Cordova, CA; sister-in-law, Mary (Allen) Lapp of Clanton, AL; godson, Justin (Dana) Lapp of Prattville, AL; great-grandsons, Ryan and Carlos; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Ottman; her son, Billy Ottman; and her parents, Kenneth and Leona Braund.
Faye will be remembered for her loving heart, her creativity, and the quiet strength she showed throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.
