FRANCES BELL (GLASSCOCK) MIMS, age 81 of Jemison, passed away on April 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Cullman, AL on May 9, 1939; the daughter of the late A.F. McMinn and the late Carrie Folds McMinn.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, and wife to her late husband, Raymond L. Mims. She and Raymond enjoyed square dancing in their earlier years. Later in life they found joy in camping. She went on to find joy in crocheting, as she crocheted many baby blankets for family and friends.
She is survived by: Daughter, Connie M. Edmondson of Jemison; Daughter, Brenda Mims (Denys Perron) of Verbena; Daughter, Cindy Hamm of Pelham; Grandsons: Ben Ousley (Lindsey Brown) of Cartersville, GA, Matthew Chastain of Panama City Beach, FL, and Kevin (Amelia) Ousley of Clanton; Granddaughters, Courtney Chastain of Panama City Beach, FL and Savannah Hamm (Jeran Arant) of Mobile; Great Grandsons: Gavin Hale, Keaton Hale, Parker Brown, and Maddox Ousley; and Great Granddaughter, Katelynn Arant.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Mims.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Anthony Crumley officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
