Franklin Delno Franks, Jr.

FRANKLIN DELNO FRANKS, JR., age 67 of Jemison, passed away on October 6, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Jefferson County, AL on October 7, 1956; the son of the late Franklin Franks, Sr. and the late Emma Jean Cleckley Franks.

He was a former truck driver. He enjoyed music, whether is was listening, playing or singing. He had a love for his animals that he cared for. His greatest joy was that of being a grandfather and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by: Daughter, Victoria (Larry) Witcher; Daughter, Cammila (Shane) Lockhart; Son, Del (Shonda) Franks; Son, Waylon (Lindsey) Franks; 14 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; Sister, Teresa (Jackie Rigsby) Giddens; Sister, Tammy (Dana) Payne; and Brother, William Franks.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Fannie Mae Franks; Son, Charles Isreal Franks; Parents, Franklin and Emma Jean Franks; and Sister, Deborah Christler.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Del Franks officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Chestnut Creek Cemetery in Verbena, AL.
