FREDDIE ANNA (TUCKER) MOATES, age 91 of Clanton, passed away on September 23, 2020 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Talapoosa County on October 16, 1928; the daughter of the late Henry French Tucker and the late Annie Ruth Graham Tucker.
She was a former binder with Bayuk Cigar Company in Selma, AL. She loved to do quilting and crocheting. Her work earned her several ribbons over the years in the Chilton County Fair. Freddie was also an Avon saleswoman and won several sales awards during her years of sales. She was also known for canning various vegetables that her family enjoyed. She will be remembered for the love that she showed her family and friends and for always being willing to extend a helping hand to those around her.
She is survived by: Daughter, Sarah Osendott of Milton, FL; Son, James Douglas Moates of Clanton; Son, Ronald David Moates of Clanton; 11 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: Husband, James R. “Buddy” Moates; and Son, Roger Steven Moates.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
