Gale (Carroll) Cleckler

GALE (CARROLL) CLECKLER, age 85 of Thorsby, passed away on September 23, 2024 at Hatley Healthcare in Clanton, AL. She was born in Dothan, AL on March 21, 1939; the daughter of the late T.D. Carroll and the late Armissie Austin Carroll.

She was a former secretary with the Clanton Housing Authority. She was a loving, caring, and giving person. She would see a need and would do her best to try to fulfill that need if at all possible. She was a devoted caregiver to her late mother for several years prior to her passing.

She is survived by: Son, Dr. John David Wilson of Murray, KY; Son, Don Carroll Wilson of Atlanta, GA; Grandchildren: Alexander David Wilson of Murray, KY, Austin Samuel Wilson of Murray, KY, and Ashley Nicole Edison of Benton, KY; along with the children and family of her late husband, Horace Cleckler.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Horace Cleckler; and Parents, T.D. and Armissie Carroll.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Wyatt officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Thorsby, AL.
