GLENDA ANN (DAVENPORT) HAYES-GLASS, age 74 of Jemison, passed away on September 22, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on April 5, 1946; the daughter of the late Layton Davenport and the late Lillie Barnett Davenport.
She was a former custodian with the Shelby County Board of Education. She was a member of the Burning Bush Church in Jemison. Glenda enjoyed doing craftwork, especially crocheting and needlework.
She is survived by: Husband, Donald E. Glass of Jemison; Son, Jeff Hayes of Jemison; Step-Son, Floyd Glass of Jemison; Step-Daughter, Jennifer Glass of Jemison; Grandchildren: Scott Hayes, Josh Glass, Johnna Glass, Brendan Glass, Jaylan Hall, and Jozie Hall; and Brother, Calvin Davenport of Sylacauga.
She is preceded in death by: First Husband, Pete Hayes; Parents, Layton and Lillie Davenport; Sister, Faye Davenport; and Brothers: Clyde Davenport, Curtis Davenport, and Charles Davenport.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Rusty Jones and Rev. Wade Adkins officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Thorsby, AL.
