Helen M. (Hayes) Fore

HELEN (HAYES) FORE, age 83 of Jemison, passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2025, following a brief battle with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Born on July 4, 1941, in Chilton County, she was the daughter of the late Enoch J. Hayes and the late Mae Maddox Hayes. Helen was a devoted and hardworking mother and grandmother whose life centered around her family and her faith. She especially adored her grandsons, lovingly calling them "Bo" and "Bud," and she was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her first great-grandchild this coming November.

Helen took pride in her home and found joy in working in her yard, always keeping things neat and welcoming. She treasured the time spent with her close friends—Margie, Shirley, and Joyce—whether on day trips or simply enjoying a meal together.

A longtime and faithful member of Pates Chapel Baptist Church, Helen worshipped there for many years and found strength and community in her faith.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Pam Kirkpatrick of Jemison; son, Jamie Fore of Jemison; grandsons, Tyler Kirkpatrick (Vanessa Romero) of Mobile and Garret Fore of Thorsby; niece, Susan Whitehurst of Mobile; and nephew, Russell Williams of Jemison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Fore; beloved son-in-law, John Kirkpatrick; parents, Enoch and Mae Hayes; and sister, Mary Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Pates Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Jones officiating.

 The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Thorsby, Alabama.
