Inf. Jesse Mae Childress

INF. JESSE MAE CHILDRESS was born on September 3, 2024 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL. She passed away 16 days later on September 19, 2024.

She was loved before she arrived, and during her short time here received love beyond measure. She will forever remain in the hearts of family.

She is survived by: Father, James “Jesse” Childress, Sr.; Mother, Jasmine Childress; Brothers: Bentley Edwards, Cody Childress, Easton Jones, and Stefan Williams; Twin Brother, James Childress, Jr.; Sisters, Malleigh Taylor and Crestleigh Jones; Grandmother, Tammy Dejarnett; Grandmother, Shelly (Earnie) Dunkin; Grandfather, Edward Lee Gore; Grandfather, Jeffery Cleckler; Great Grandparents: Tommie Ann (David) Williams, Mary (Mack) Smith, and Charles (Tina) Chapman; Aunts: Britny (Darrin) Worthey, Kacy Childress, and Gracie Fields; Uncles: Eli Brasseale, Brandon Gore, and Blake (Amber) Gore; and a host of cousins and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by: Brother, Bentley Childress; Grandfather, Ronnie Dejarnett; Great Grandparents: Charles H. Chapman, Cinthia Ann Little, Opal Jean Chapman, and James Ivie Childress; and Great-Great Grandfather, Joel Ivie Childress.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Coburn officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, AL.

The family requests that everyone please wear light and colorful clothing to the services to honor her life.
