J.T. Porter

J.T. PORTER, age 88 of Jemison, passed away on April 22, 2023 in Jemison, AL. He was born in Chilton County on April 9, 1935; the son of the late Charlie Porter and the late Rosella Bolton Porter.

J.T. was a lifelong farmer in Chilton County.

He is survived by: Daughter, Debra Talley of Jemison; Daughter, Diann Merrell of Jemison; Grandson, T.J. Porter of Jemison; Grandson, Matt Porter of Jemison; Granddaughter, Susan Russell of Shelby; Granddaughter, Allison Porter of Jemison; Grandson, Benjamin Merrell of Jemison; Granddaughter, Ashley Porter of Jemison; Grandson, Jacob Merrell of Jemison; and 8 Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Anita Ann Porter; and Son, Alan (Penny) Porter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Atchison officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jemison, AL.
