JACOB “ JAKE” DANIEL PIERCE, age 67 of Verbena, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was born on October 10, 1958; the son of the late Jesse Odell Pierce and the late Carolyn Deason Pierce.
Jake was a diehard Alabama fan and a true NASCAR enthusiast. He was a carpenter by trade and a very good one at that. He loved his family deeply, especially his brother David, who he proudly called his best friend. They have shared more than 25 years living side by side, building a bond that will never be forgotten. Jake will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by: Brother, David Pierce; Brother, Bobby Pierce; Sister, Debra Cummings; Sister, Patricia Cooedy; Son, Jason Pierce; Daughter, Jessica King; Granddaughter, Ryleigh Pierce; Grandson, Collins Pierce; Great Grandson, Rowan Pierce; Sister-in-Law, Karen Pierce; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Jesse and Carolyn Pierce; Son, Josh Pierce; Sister, Peggy Peters; Sister, Margaret Farmer; Brother, Mike Pierce; and Brother, Billy Pierce.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Verbena Cemetery in Verbena, AL with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
