James Carlos Jones

JAMES CARLOS JONES, age 83 of Clanton, passed away on May 18, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on March 8, 1941; the son of the late Wesley Jones and the late Susie Cleckler Jones.

He was a former brick mason. He loved spending his time gardening and enjoying the company of his beloved dogs.

He is survived by: Wife, Maggie Jones of Clanton; Daughter, Susan (James) Grund of Clanton; Son, Michael (Jessica) Jones of Clanton; Grandchildren: Brittany (Dusty) McNabb of Calera, Krysten Jones of Clanton, Caleb Jones of Valley, and Bobby Jones of Tuscaloosa; Great Grandchildren: Kendall McLaughlin, Hope Jones, and Zake Jones; Sister, Dean Barrett of Clanton; and Sister, Dorothy Burnett of Clanton.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Lett officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, AL.
