JAMES ARNOLD DELOACH, age 88 of Pelham and formerly of Verbena, passed away on February 27, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on December 30, 1935; the son of the late James Lloyd DeLoach and the late Louise Headley DeLoach.
Arnold was a former truck driver. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a people person who never met a stranger. He did his best to befriend everyone he came in contact with. He was an avid University of Alabama fan. He will be best remembered for his love for his Lord and his family.
He is survived by: Wife of 67 years, Maurine DeLoach of Pelham; Son, Mitchell (Marilyn) DeLoach of Hoover; Granddaughter, Maeghan DeLoach of Hoover; Grandson, Shane (Jennifer) Harris of Helena; Great Grandsons, Kolby Harris and Lane Harris of Helena; Sister, Michele (Steve) Wilson of North Carolina; and Sister, Cindy Mims of Clanton.
He is preceded in death by: Daughter, Charlotte Harris; Parents, James Lloyd and Louise DeLoach; and Twin Brother, Donald DeLoach.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 6-8pm at Providence Baptist Church No. 2 in Clanton, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00am from Providence Baptist Church No. 2 with Rev. Glenn Bonds officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Cemetery in Verbena, AL.
