JAMES EDWARD “BUDDY” WALLACE, JR., age 70 of Deatsville, passed away on July 12, 2021 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL. He was bornin Atlanta, GA on July 16, 1950; the son of the late James Edward Wallace, SR. and the late Ida Mae Williams Wallace.
He was a former mechanic with Trinity Industrials. Buddy loved planting and working his garden. He also enjoyed driving race cars in his spare time. He will be remembered for his saying of “I love you, and God does too!”
He is survived by: Wife, Shelby Jean Wallace of Deatsville; Son, Kenneth E. Wallace of Maplesville; Daughter, Tammy F. Bishop of Wetumpka; Daughter, Tina Porter of Clanton; Daughter, Carlie Shuler of Wetumpka; Daughter, Shelby Shuler of Wetumpka; 7 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Ronald Wallace of Maplesville; Brother, Cornell Wallace of Clanton; Brother, David Wallace of Clanton; and Sister, Lynn Abbott of Maplesville.
He is preceded in death by: Son, Christopher L. Wallace; His Parents; Brothers: Donald Wallace, Dale Wallace, Eddie Lee Wallace, and Johnny Horton; and Sister, Voncile Bryant.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 5-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Roland Hazel officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00pm in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.
