JAMES ROBERT “JAY” BOWMAN, age 63 of Jemison, passed away on September 12, 2021 at St. Vincent-Chilton Hospital in Clanton, AL. He was born in Norfolk, VA on January 12, 1958; the son of L.C. Bowman, Jr. and Juanita Ballard Bowman.

He was a former industrial maintenance man.

He is survived by: Son, James Bowman, Jr. of Ambrose, GA; 4 Grandchildren; Mother, Juanita Bowman of Jemison; Father, L.C. Bowman, Jr. of Jemison; Brother, Freddie Bowman of Clanton; Brother, Joey Bowman of Starkville, MS; Sister, Nancy Smith of Jemison; Sister, Mary Lavender of Montevallo; and Sister, Lynn Hand of Panama City Beach, FL.

A private family service will be held later.
