JAMES DAVID “JIMMY” DRIVER, age 62 of Verbena, passed away on November 25, 2024 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL. He was born in Autauga County on December 5, 1961; the son of the late John David Driver and the late Lilly Clementine Bearden Driver.
Jimmy was an avid Alabama Football fan. Despite his disability, he enjoyed going and watching his great nieces and nephews in their respective sports and cheer.
He is survived by: Brother, Ray (Vera) Driver of Clanton; Sister-in-Law, Kathy Driver of Verbena; Niece, Sherry Driver of Verbena; Niece, Denise Williams of Verbena; 7 Great Nieces and Nephews; and 1 Great-Great Niece.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, J.D. and Tiny Driver; Brother, Johnny Driver; Niece, Renee Driver; and Great Niece, Clowey Coggins.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 6:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Billingsley Cemetery in Billingsley, AL.
The family request no flowers, but encourage memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Easterseals of Central Alabama.
