JENNIFER LEIGH (KAISER) WOODLEY, age 53 of Thorsby, Alabama, passed away on February 1, 2026 at Baptist Health-Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, Alabama, following a brave and courageous fight with cancer.
She was born in Foley, Alabama on June 16, 1972, the daughter of James Kaiser and Susan Hayward Kaiser. Jennifer was a 1990 graduate of Foley High School and went on to attend Auburn University, where she met her future husband, Geoffrey. After their marriage, she continued her education at the University of Montevallo, where she earned her degree.
Jennifer built a career marked by dedication, integrity, and compassion. She worked for many years with Infinity Insurance, later Kemper Insurance, before taking a position with UAB in Birmingham in Human Resources. She was known as a dependable and hardworking professional who truly cared about helping others, and she earned the respect and admiration of both coworkers and friends.
While Jennifer was devoted to her career, her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. She was a faithful and loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a constant source of strength and encouragement to those she loved. She could always be found cheering from the sidelines at ballgames, supporting her children in every endeavor, and making sure her home was filled with warmth and laughter. Her family was her heart, and she gave them her very best every single day.
She is survived by her loving husband, Geoffrey Woodley of Thorsby; sons, Kaiser (Caroline) Woodley of Vestavia Hills and Banks (Jessie) Woodley of Thorsby; daughters, Logan Woodley and Blair Woodley, both of Thorsby; grandchildren, Brooks Woodley and Marni Woodley of Thorsby; parents, James and Susan Kaiser of Elberta; sisters, Mary Ann (Andy) Maurin of Elberta, Julie (Tommy) Cleverdon of Magnolia Springs, and Mindy (Jamie) Jones of Elberta; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Elberta, Alabama with Rev. Keith Ringers officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery in Elberta.
Jennifer’s life was a beautiful example of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
