Jerry "J.B." Burt Bailey

JERRY BURT “J.B.” BAILEY, age 82 of Randolph, passed away on June 24, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Birmingham, AL on March 11, 1939; the son of the late Robert Burton Bailey and the late Marjorie Aline Hill Bailey.

He retired as a light oil operator from Jim Walter Resources after 35 years of service. J.B. was a proud veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

He is survived by: Wife of 62 years, Carolyn Bailey of Randolph; Son, Jesse (Samantha) Bailey of Calera; Son, Scott (Wanda) Bailey of Randolph; Daughter, Gloria Singletary of Jemison; Daughter-in-law, Donna Bailey of Randolph; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: Son, Tracy Bailey; Grandson, Geffrey Keith Bailey; and Great-Granddaughter, Haylee Burks.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 3:00pm at Union Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Shawn Lowery officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial with military honors will follow in the Union Springs Baptist Cemetery in Randolph, AL.
