JESSICA FAYE (ADAMS) FORTENBERRY, age 54 of Billingsley, passed away suddenly on November 3, 2025 in Clanton, AL as the result of an automobile accident. She was born in Chilton County on January 9, 1971, the daughter of the late Jesse Charles Adams and Gaye Nell Watts Adams.
Jessica was employed with Hatley Healthcare in Clanton, where she worked in housekeeping and was known for her friendly smile and caring spirit. She loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren, who were truly the joy of her life. Jessica could always be found cheering them on at their ballgames and activities, and she cherished every moment spent supporting them. She also enjoyed going on family vacations, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come. Jessica had a love for her artificial fingernails and took pride in keeping them in perfect shape, a small detail that reflected her personality and style.
She is survived by her son, John (Abbi) Harrington of Clanton; daughter, Leann (Jordan) Lenoir of Maplesville; eight beloved grandchildren; mother, Gaye Nell Adams of Billingsley; sister, Jenelle (Mark) Peters of Thorsby; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Fortenberry; father, Jesse C. Adams; and sister, Becky Cleckler.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
