Jessica Ann Moore, age 29, of Lansing, Michigan, and formerly of Chilton County, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2026, in Lansing. She was born on December 23, 1996, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to Russell Anthony Moore and Joy Powell Moore.
Jessica, lovingly known as “Jessie” by those who knew her best, will be remembered most for the deep love she had for her children and the joy she found in being their mother. Her world revolved around them, and she embraced every moment of motherhood with a tender heart and devoted spirit. Jessie also had a passion for pageant work, where her vibrant personality and encouragement touched many lives.
Those who knew Jessie will remember her for her kind heart, her bright smile, and the way she made those around her feel loved and valued. Though her time here was far too short, the love she gave and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Raymond Ray, Jr.; her son, James Anthony Ray; her daughter, Margienelle Rose Ray; her father, Russell Moore; her mother, Joy Moore; her brothers, Ty (Silvia Macias) Moore and Raymond (Brandi Dutton) Moore; her sister-in-law, Latasha Ray; her aunt, Pamela (Loren) Simmons; and a host of other extended family members and friends.
While her family mourns her passing, they take comfort in their faith, trusting that Jessie is now at peace and held in the loving presence of the Lord. Her life, though brief, was a blessing, and her memory will be cherished always.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Burning Bush Church in Jemison, Alabama, with Rev. Wade Adkins officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
