JIMMY LEE DURHAM, age 80 of Jemison, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on November 21, 1944, the son of the late Raymond Rufus Durham and the late Floyce Elizabeth Mims Durham.
Jimmy was a skilled carpenter by trade and a true outdoorsman at heart. He found joy in the stillness of the woods, hunting deer and turkey, and in the quiet patience of fishing on a sunny afternoon. His love for antique vehicles was more than a hobby—it was a passion. He enjoyed collecting them, restoring them, and building with his own hands, always taking pride in his craftsmanship.
Above all, Jimmy loved his family deeply. He treasured time spent with them, especially with his great-grandson, Will, with whom he shared a special bond filled with laughter and countless memories.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda F. Durham of Jemison; daughters, Pat (James) Jones of Jemison and Carol (Johnnie) Hayes of Jemison; grandchildren, Amber (Chris) Wood, Brandon (Courtney) Jones, Ashley (DJ) Hines, and Drake (Jonna) Hayes; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Rufus Durham of Clanton, Jerry Durham of Clanton, and Floyd Durham of Clanton; and sister, Janice Marshall of Clanton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Floyce Durham, and brother, Ray Durham.
At Jimmy’s request, he will be cremated and his remains scattered over his favorite hunting spot. No public services will be held.
