JIMMY EARL KROMER SR., age 73 of Verbena, passed away on August 15, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born in Shelby County, AL on May 26, 1947; the son of the late Manuel Kromer and the late Ruby Northcutt Kromer.
Jimmy was a person who never met a stranger and made friends with everyone he met. He had an extensive knowledge across many different fields of work, and he was willing to help anyone anyway he possibly could. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He will be best remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who could bring both a smile and laughter to the faces of his family and friends.
He is survived by: Wife, Beverly Henderson Kromer of Verbena; Son, Buddy (Carrie) Kromer of Clanton; Son, Hassel Kromer of Jemison; Daughter, Missy (Phillip) Early of Jemison; Grandchildren: Krystal (Michael) Littlefield, Kirsten (Austin) Graham, Brooke (Skyler) Martin, Crimson (Candace) Kromer, Nicole (Caanon Griffin) Early, Jessica Early, Chevy Kromer, Ashton Brown, Elyse Kromer, and Matthew Kromer; Great Grandchildren: Bentley Graham, Colton Littlefield, Barrett Elrod, Aspyn Graham, River Martin, Caison Griffin, and Adleigh Kromer; Brother, Irtle Kromer; Sister, Nell Kromer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Manuel and Ruby Kromer; Brothers: Fredrick Kromer, Ray Kromer, and Jr. Kromer; and Sisters: Josephine Gore, Frances Grant, Barbara Ann Startley, and Bonnie Ewing.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and Rev. Tim Scott officiating.
Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton, AL.
