Jimmy Wayne Rhodes

JIMMY WAYNE RHODES, age 62 of Jemison, passed away suddenly on January 15, 2024 in LaGrange, GA. He was born in Chilton County on February 8, 1961; the son of the late James Billy Rhodes and the late Edna Juanita Wilder Rhodes.

He was a former route salesman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to cook and seek out new recipes in which to try and prepare for his family. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by: Daughter, Savanah (Nick) Shaw of Jemison; Son, Steven (Brittany) Rhodes of Columbus, GA; Grandchildren: Isabella Rhodes, Alexis Shaw, Brynlee Shaw, Cooper Rhodes, and Colton Shaw; Sister, Beverly Gray of Jemison; Brother, Danny Rhodes of Columbiana; Brother, Chris Rhodes of Jemison; Brother, Robert Mims of Prattville; and former Spouse, Michele Rhodes of Jemison.

He is preceded in death by: Son, J.D. Rhodes; Parents, Bill and Beverly Jo Rhodes; and Brother, Kenny Rhodes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 6-8pm at Pates Chapel Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00pm from Pates Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison, AL.
