Jo Margaret (Herring) Bamberg-Cooper

JO MARGARET (HERRING) BAMBERG-COOPER, age 81 of Centreville passed away on October 13, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Tuscaloosa County, AL on May 13, 1943; the daughter of the late George Herring and the late Eleanor Thrasher Herring.

She was a former social worker with the Department of Human Resources. She leaves behind a legacy known for her unwavering faith in God, her love for her family and her animals. Her kindness and heart full of love for others, is what people will most remember about her.

She is survived by: Husband, Hal Cooper of Centreville; Son, Thad (Rebecca) Bamberg of Centreville; Son, Trent (Kristie) Bamberg of Centreville; Daughter, Misty B. (Kenneth) Weems of Centreville; Grandchildren: Mary Ashtyn Bamberg, Reece Bamberg, Lily Bamberg, Ava Bamberg, Elijah (Savannah) Holdsambeck, Emma Jo Weems, Catherine Bamberg, and Piper Bamberg; Bonus Son, Blair Cooper; Bonus Grandchildren, Kolton (Christina) Weems and Bryce Cooper; and Bonus Great Grandchild, Kade Weems.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Thomas Bamberg; and Parents, George and Eleanor Herring.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 2:00pm from Centreville Baptist Church with Rev. Eli Holdsambeck and Rev. Kenneth Fuller officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in Pineland Memorial Park in Centreville, AL.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, AL.
