John Thomas Hollis

JOHN THOMAS HOLLIS, age 83, of Jemison passed away December 5, 2024 at UAB St. Vincent’s Hospital of Chilton County. He was born in Jefferson County on February 2, 1941, son of the late Louis Hollis and the late Ellie Hollis.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. He was an honest hard-working man with a great since of humor. He loved to hunt, fish, raise cows and tend his farm.

He is survived by his Son, Thomas (Tina) Hollis; Granddaughters, Courtney (Shannon) Hollis, Britteny (Travis) Smith, Kaitlin Robinson; Great-Grandchildren, Mason Smith, Grayson Smith, and Corbin Smith

He is preceded in death by his Wife, Jimmie Sue Hollis; Daughter, Tommie Sue Hollis; and Parents, Louis and Ellie Hollis

Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM, Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Caleb Hollis and Rev. Travis Smith officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, Alabama
