Johnny Lynn Porter

JOHNNY LYNN PORTER, age 68 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on November 19, 2023 at St. Vincent-Chilton Hospital in Clanton, AL. He was born in Chilton County on March 4, 1955; the son of the late John Edgar Porter and the late Dorothy Farris Porter.

He was a former brick mason. He loved his family dearly, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by: Son, Drew Porter of Jemison; Son, John (Courtney) Porter of Clanton; Grandchildren: Averie Porter, Luke Porter, John Owen Porter, Griffin Porter, Evan Porter, and Carlee Porter; Sister, Karen (Larry) Reeser of Thorsby; Brother, Stanley Porter of Jemison; and Brother, Greg Porter of Clanton.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, J.E. and Dorothy Porter; Sister, Carolyn Davenport; and Sister, Sharon Porter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Larry Reeser officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the New Salem Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
