Joyce Faye (Jones) Moore, age 77, of Clanton, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at UAB St. Vincent's Chilton Hospital. Born in Chilton County on September 1, 1948, she was the beloved daughter of the late Julius Lee Jones and the late Iella Hughes Jones Vance.
Joyce was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered around the people she loved most. She worked for many years as a salesclerk, where her kind spirit and friendly personality made a lasting impression on countless customers and coworkers. However, her greatest fulfillment came from her family. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Her loving heart, gentle nature, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Paul (Heather) Moore of New Castle, Pennsylvania; daughter, Angela (Lloyd) Harlan of New Castle, Pennsylvania; son, Michael (Angela) Kamerer of Montevallo, Alabama; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Jones of Clanton; sister, Jane Ann (Rich) Hosey of Great Falls, Virginia; brother, Edward Sniezck of Montgomery; sister, Elaine (Joe) Eiginger of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and sister, Linda (Artie) Rush of New Castle, Pennsylvania, along with many extended family members and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Moore; her father, Julius Lee Jones; her mother, Iella Hughes Jones Vance; and her brother, Jimmy Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Trae Caton officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in New Harmony Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, Alabama.
