JULIUS LEON PRICE, 87, of Clanton, Alabama, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025.
Born and raised in Alabama, Leon was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose kindness, humility, and steadfast faith left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jacqulyn Ann (Rasberry) Price, and together they built a life centered on love and faith in Jesus Christ.
Leon proudly served his country in the United States Navy. His dedication and service reflected his strong sense of duty and honor.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Laney and Tom O’Dell; and his grandsons, Zachary (Nicole) O’Dell, Jacob O’Dell, and Noah O’Dell.
Leon is also survived by his brothers, Charles Edwin (Donna) Price and Ralph Dale (Betty) Price; his sister, Marie Price Griffin; his niece, Angela (John) Griffin Jones; and his sister-in-law, Gwen Batte.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Julius Price and Addie Lorene Collum Price; his sister, Evelyn Juanita Price Varden (Russell); his brothers, John William, Travis Judon, James Harold, and Loyce Terry Price; and his in-laws, Arnold Jackson “Sam” Rasberry and Geraldine Hedgepath Smitherman.
Leon will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his warmth, integrity, and unwavering love for his family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Kelvin Smitherman officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior.
A graveside service with military honors will follow at 1:15pm in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.
