Obituary

KENNETH JACK EASTERLING, age 87 of Clanton, passed away on January 22, 2021 at Merrywood Lodge in Elmore, AL. He was born in Chilton County on April 24, 1933; the son of the late Sam Easterling and the late Cerilla Lockhart Easterling.

Jack was a 1951 graduate of Chilton County High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy with 4 years of service during the Korean Conflict. Jack would go on to retire from Jim Walter Homes as a sales representative.

He is survived by: Brother, Ennis Easterling; Brother, Sam Easterling; Brother, David (Melissa) Easterling; Sister, Geraldine (Gene) Lockhart; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, Sam and Cerilla Easterling; Sister, Velma (Earl) Easterling; Sister, Myrtle (Milford) Mims; Brother, Vernon Easterling; and Brother, Collis (Dot) Easterling.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Refuge Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL with Bro. David Easterling and Rev. Bill Short officiating.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family request that facial coverings be worn and social distancing guidelines be followed.
