Kenneth Lamont Laxson

KENNETH LAMONT LAXSON, age 74 of Clanton, passed away on August 9, 2024 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He was born in Powderly, AL on August 26, 1949; the son of the late Kenneth Ordway Laxson and the late Betty Cargile Laxson.

He was a former truck driver. He also honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by: Wife, Gloria D. Laxson of Clanton; Son, Kenneth Laxson of Clanton; Daughter, Lisa (Marshall) Hall of Alabaster; Son, Michael (Lori) Laxsonof Jemison; Grandson, Evan Smitherman of Jemison; Grandson, Tanner Hall of Alabaster; Sister, Sandra (Daniel) Gore of Clanton; Brother, William Mims of Clanton; and Brother, Ronnie Mims of Clanton.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11:00am in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL with Rev. Jason Dunn officiating.
