Laura Denise (Cleckler) Turner

LAURA DENISE (CLECKLER) TURNER, age 62 of Jemison, passed away suddenly on March 11, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on March 17, 1960; the daughter of the late Bobby Ralph Cleckler and Laura Faye Dopson Abernathy.

Laura was loved by many people. She accepted everyone and made them feel as family. She loved to cook and to feed those that she loved. She also enjoyed the outdoors and spending time fishing. She loved to fish for brim and could spend hours fishing for them if she found a good spot.

She is survived by: Husband, Bobby G. Turner of Jemison; Son, Charles Nicholas (Abby) Turner of Thorsby; Son, Austin Blake Turner of Thorsby; Son, Mitchell Sandor (Amber) Maddox of Jemison; Daughter, Crystal (Chris) Niece of Jemison; Daughter, Savannah Turner of Montevallo; 9 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Mother, Laura Faye Abernathy of Jemison; Brother, Gregory (Mary) Cleckler of Virginia; Brother, Bobby Ralph (Laura) Cleckler of Florida; Sister, Bobbie (Randy) St. John of Clanton; Sister, Sheri (Michael) Littleton of Jemison; and Sister, Katy Cleckler of Clanton.

She is preceded in death by her Father, Bobby Ralph Cleckler.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Tony Christensen officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
