LAWRENCE EUGENE HAWTHORNE, age 72 of Clanton, passed away on January 14, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Cherokee County, AL on December 16, 1952; the son of the late Ladon Hawthorne and the late Huldah Mackey Hawthorne.
He was a retired foreman. He enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by: Wife, Nina Hawthorne of Clanton; Son, Derek Argo of Clanton; Daughter, Tanya Hawthorne of Clanton; Daughter, Donna (Stephen “Wormy”) Stephens of Clanton; 6 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Cywilla Fabijanic of Birmingham; Sister, Gnilmarg Jones of Saclase, TX; and Sister, Lynn Leighton of Section.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Ladon and Huldah Hawthorne; and Brothers, W.C. Hawthorne and Donovan Hawthorne.
