CURTIS LEO DAVIS, age 74 of Clanton, passed away suddenly on May 20, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on May 2, 1950; the son of the late Elzie Arvest Davis and the late Ruthie Nell Hayes Davis.
Leo was a former residential construction contractor. He loved being outdoors and working in his yard on his John Deere tractor. He also enjoyed the company of his beloved cat while working around the yard. Leo was a staple at Main Street Café in Clanton. The family wishes to thank the ladies of Main Street for always taking care of and looking out for him.
He is survived by: Daughter, Lisa Davis Stover of Clanton; Daughter, Rena (Bruce) Crumpton of Clanton; Daughter, April (Lee) Sullivan of Clanton; Son, Jason Davis of Fosters; Granddaughters: Jaclyn Crumpton, Hailey Robinson, Heather Cardwell, Holly Sullivan, Shauna Murphy, and Abby Crumpton of Clanton; Grandsons: Tony Stover, Justin Stover, Robert Murphy, and Austin Crumpton of Clanton; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; and Sister, Betty Ploss of Clanton.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Elzie and Ruth Davis; Brother, Roger Davis; Brother, Clayton Davis; Sister, Jenelle Cleckler; and Sister, Mavis Cleckler.
The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
The family will hold a private inurnment at a later date in the Antioch Methodist Cemetery in Maplesville, AL.
